The subject of the law is a huge but important subject! Just how important is the law? Has it been abolished? Was it ‘nailed to the cross’ along with Jesus Christ? Some may not necessarily ‘phrase’ it this way but will explain that you do not need to keep the laws of the Old Testament. Others may practice, keep, or ‘observe’ certain laws, but just how important or necessary is it to keep these laws? What is the relationship of God’s law to salvation? Do we attain or ‘earn’ salvation by keeping the law? How do we know just what laws of the O.T. are in force and effect today and what laws are not? If, as David wrote in the Psalms, that the law of the Lord is perfect, why do so many believe the need to abolish or change it?
